What to Watch: MANOS SUCIAS
MANOS SUCIAS, directed by Josef Wladyka, is opening at the Laemmle Music Hall in Los Angeles this weekend. The tense, engrossing thriller tracks the journey of two men who are smuggling a torpedo full of cocaine along the coast of Columbia.
Wladyka, along with co-writer / cinematographer Alan Blanco, producers Elena Greenlee and Marcia Nunes, and Executive Producer Spike Lee, have put together a film that takes a rare peek behind into some of the unfortunate realities of Afro-Colombian life.
It's one of the best debut feature films that you'll see all year.
MANOS is currently carrying an 88% FRESH rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has received positive reviews from the Los Angeles Times, New York Times and Village Voice.
The film will only be playing in LA through April 16th.
